Mt Richardson

Mt Richardson

On Friday the 13th Loburn School seniors climbed Mt Richardson. The Year 8’s had to do it because it was one of our WPCA (William Pike Challenge Award) challenges. My favorite part of the climb was going back down and seeing the scenic views. My overall favorite part was talking to my friends and trying the honey from the trees. My least favorite part of the tramp is the tramp up and the next two days after, the reason why I didn’t love the walk up was because of the feeling I got in my knees but it was all worth it went we got to the top because one, you get this amazing view of the sea and the west coast and two, you now know your on your way down. On the way down my best friend Harry and I pretend that we were soldiers left behind to fend for ourselves, I know what you're thinking “why are you doing this?” we did that to past time and it worked and before we know it we are on the easy path to the end of the climb. I’m sad and happy about not doing this next year. I’m sad because I don’t do this at High school and I’m happy because I don’t get that pain in my knees. If you are thinking about climbing Mt Richardson I say go and do it!

  1. Riely this is a fantastic blog post. I like the detail that you have put in to explaining the highs and lows. I also like the way you recommended the adventure to others.
Next time I would like to see you grouping your ideas into paragraphs and checking that you are using consistent tense.
